Hi Brian, I'm really glad that you found the way. We had hired (pretty awful) bikes from Narbonne and thought that we were going to have to turn round early in the day. Then I saw someone walking across and we thought we'd try it.

View of the old swamp of Montady that was drained in the 13th century by digging a tunnel to the centre of the lake. The tunnel still drains the excess water and the soil is very fertile. This cultivated lake bed is visible from outer space.

A joker added the extra zero - it is really only 100 miles! The tarantula was photographed on this quiet backroad. A stunning ride, also saw deer, turkeys, bobcat, coyotes, etc.
