This WAS a nice building, until a bunch of under-trained engineers said "hey, we can move it!" and the City planners said "duh, OK".

Needless to say, the old brick frame could not handle the stress and it collapsed. Made quite a scene too. Was in the papers.

Scary thing is, they've got the same crew working on deconstructing and constructing the new overpass just behind it.

Thanks for the complements.You are more fortunate than I to live in the beautiful Catskills.I live about 1 hour south in Peekskill n.y.But I love to travel up there as much as I can.I also enjoyed your gallery.love the D&U Railway shots. when I first found it driving around a few years back I kept taking every one in my family up to ride.Hope some day to live up there myself.

I have many pics of this tunnel some from inside .I also have pics of just about the entire railbed layout i .I have been hiking and potographing Dunderberg for many years.some of my photos are spread out on google earth just go to the mountain on google earth and they should pop up.
