Thanks Berend. A nation such as yours must have many many boats of all kinds, but I had not seen these marinas.

Ian

You'll find this nice and rare butterfly only at two small areas in the Netherlands Ian and this is one of the areas. The time before that we were there we didn't found them. Thanks, greetings Berend

I was surprised too Ian, maybe because this is a juvenile?? Thank you, greetings Berend

Thank you Ian, there're many of them in that NP and they're used to people. Greetings Berend

Thank you for the information Ian. Greetings Berend

This section of coast is essentially made up of volcanic sediments overlain on submarine lava beds (pillow lavas), uplifted and eroded by coastal processes. The cliffs are not very stable, and the wave energy is quite powerful here, as it is along most of the west coast of both the North Island and the South Island, New Zealand.

Greetings from our southern world, Berend.

Ian

The purity of the air, the clarity of the water, the beauty of the landscape and the warmth of early summer combine to make it a delightful place to be!

Kind regards,

Ian

Thanks, Berend. I was fascinated by all the history. It seemed like I was back in Parramatta or Hobart.. and there were many connections between the early settlements in Australia and here in New Zealand. Ships called regularly here after leaving Sydney, for example, and the colonial administration was interrelated as well.

Regards,

Ian
