Hi Corey, thank you for visiting my gallery and for the compliments. Greetings Berend

Het was even lastig om deze scherp te krijgen Bram, maar we moesten toch op de Roodmus wachten. Bedankt, groeten Berend

Our very dear Füsun.

More tragedy on the face of humanity. Dignity smashed. Respect trashed. Hatred overflowing. This murderous, criminal act in Istanbul is abhorrent, yet hope, and humanity's capacity to love is far greater.

We must see a capacity to transform conflict and avert evil,

that instead of red blood in the streets,

red bowers of flowers welcome us home,

red petals are strewn on our way,

and red pomegranates roll freely instead.

Greetings Patrick,

Thank you for the compliments and your appreciation.

Greetings Berend,

The chimney was part of a copper smelter that operated from 1872-1875. The mine which supplied the ore was about a mile away. In 1872, this smelter produced 8 tons of copper from 60 tons of ore. Evidently it is the oldest surviving minig industry chimney in Queensland. It was restored about 10 years ago by the local council.

Dear Ian,

As you know last night we have another terror attack in Istanbul

We are still shocked!

Everywhere blood!

Thank you so much for your kind email. It impressed me very much.

It is so nice to know that we all are standing together to fight terrorism!

I will send you an email soon.

Love Füsun

"I'm Explaining A Few Things"

You are going to ask: and where are the lilacs?

and the poppy-petalled metaphysics?

and the rain repeatedly spattering

its words and drilling them full

of apertures and birds?

I'll tell you all the news.

And you'll ask: why doesn't his poetry

speak of dreams and leaves

and the great volcanoes of his native land?

Come and see the blood in the streets.

Come and see

The blood in the streets.

Come and see the blood

In the streets!

Pablo Neruda

I love this scene. This is the first time I have ever commented on a photo of Bulgaria, a part of the world that I do not know much about. I am enjoying your travels, dear Füsun.

Still on my bucket list, hope to make it there one day. Beautiful shot.

Thank you so much Argenna and Steve.

Bedankt, groeten Berend
