Amazing again. Not sure if I am right, Ian, that Araucaria is plant of the Southern Hemisphere. Seen the Monkey Puzzle Tree from Chile planted in NZ.

Nature makes up for what the Southern Hemisphere doesn't have, Pine, with Araucaria.

And what that gorge ahead contains is indeed awesome, Berend. 165M of major waterfall! But then you have seen images of all of Yabba Falls and it isn't a mystery to you.

Thanks, Berend.

This location is so untouched by human activity that it seems so primeaval, and the sculptured rocks seemed to invoke our imagination: perhaps this is where green crocodiles spawn, or is this the fossilised remains of some weird brontosaurus?

It is a beautiful place, but when the floods roar through this gorge then it is a wild place: wild and beautiful!

Warm regards,

It really is a wonderful and special environment, though it is rather difficult to access.

I appreciate the opportunity to share this special place with you, Berend.

This was indeed our lunch spot during the recent exploration of the gorge, Berend. Thanks nad warmet regards,

Very true. It is surprises like this that brings joy to those of us who like to explore the wilderness. Greetings from Queensland, Bruno.
