Ian Stehbens's conversations

very well done L

greetings from Sonja

Dear Füsun,

We cannot wait for the news that you are planning to come for a visit. Make it a long one... for there is so much to see and to do. Our time together will indeed be precious. Then one day we might be back in Istanbul and take a flight over Cappadocia!!

Much love from us both.

Thankyou, Anton. I couldn't resist making this photograph, even though there were some aggressive monkeys about that were very happy to take a swipe at a camera, or head off with someone's glasses or handbag!

Ian

Dear May,

One moment I can be beside you as we look down on a village in the Emmental, the next moment you are beside me as we look down on a vineyard in the Barossa Valley. Remarkable really. Thanks you for all your encouragement and engagement, even though so many others appreciate your photography, and you respond with generosity and grace.

Most warmly and appreciatively,

Ian

Thank you, Paolo. I presume the beans benefit the vines by providing nitrogen, as well as protecting the soil from erosion. I don't know what effect the beans have on the wine, if any.

Greetings Paolo. I appreciate your visit and interest in Australian landscapes. noted that you enjoy creating panoramic images: Australia is certainly ideal for creating panoramic images.

I photographed this scene the other day, Amelia. That big wide pavement and the grass verge have been replaced with a wee narrow pavement. It is very pedestrian friendly in your photograph. Nowadays it is all about cars! Cheers, Joe

many thanks everyone. Black church is great and easy to find when there is snow all around :)
