I checked my logbook and I was at Bolivar from April 10 thru April 21, 1989. My Instructor's name was Eric R. Mullins from Tupelo, MS and my FAA pilot examiner was Harry S. Weiss.


Photo was taken at the B&M Shops in North Billerica, MA in 1979. These units were sent to the scrapper years ago. Sorry!

That's a cool view of the coal dock too! I've been looking for a coal dock for quite some time. They are common up north and east of the Mississippi, but seems like they're hard to find westward. I don't know why that is. These were used to load coal into locomotives until around 1940. After that time, most train engines were diesel. Very cool to see this!
