Born in Montreal, lived in Texas the last 34 years, got to see all 50 states, 7 provinces and parts of Europe. First camera was an old hand me down Kodak, then Kodak X15. First 35mm was Canon AE1 program in 1986,then moved to digiital in 2003 with Canon A300, S2IS, Rebel XSI, A1100 IS, Rebel T1i and 5D MarkII. Retired the 35mm and A300 in 2007. Didn't discover Panoramio until July 2010 but I've enjoyed it ever since along with everyone"s beautiful pictures :) To all my Panoramio friends, I will try to keep up with all my communications and uploading new pictures as I travel abroad, all of that depends on the availability of a wifi connection wherever I travel.

Un loc incarcat de istorie !L

Hey Michael ... good to hear from you ! ... This old building is right alongside the old Calais Branch of the Maine Central Railroad, this part heading toward Ellsworth Maine. It was the rail agent's freight-house until November 1982, when rail business was centralized to the agent in Ellsworth. Shortly afterwards, the whole 133 mile branchline was taken out of service. It languished in disuse until 2008 when the ties and tracks were ripped up and the whole railbed was turned into a really nice, smooth rails-to-trails facility ... which was supposed to lure tourists to this economically depressed area, but instead is almost exclusively used by locals on 4-wheelers and snowmobiles. Hope all is going well, Wally
