I consider myself to be an amateur photographer with a passion in my work. I have taken a couple of classes at the local university and have found that there is nothing that substitutes for experience. I am a retired biologist and my favorite is photos of wildlife and especially birds, and not necessarily landscapes that we deal with on Panaramio. I live in Reno, Nevada USA very close to Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mtns, and to the east the Great Basin desert, both of which offer a wide variety of photo opportunities. What I like most about Panaramio is being able to show my pics and exchange greetings to people around the world.
