Deer have been seen regularly swimming across between the mainland (in the distance) and the island at low tide to graze on the lush greenery.
This is also virtually the only safe habitat for Red Squirrels in Southern England. The Isle of Wight have a few - but here you can walk in the wood and actually see them close up!
That cliff hanging over the village is amazing isn't it?
So damn big and so many seagulls - which equals cars with s**t all over the windscreens and that stuff sets like cement.
It was fun wasn't it?
and it moved a lot quicker than the original!
I have recently found out that this lake is now dry - due to the greed of local princes who grew cattle feed with the water to produce milk and a fast profit.
I remember the milk very very well and the cows
It's sad a 4,000 year old lake has gone though!
