In Eastern Germany you can still find lots of cobblestone roads (side roads), some of them still in a bad condition. This road looks much better than many asphalt roads in the East.
Thanks for your comment ^^ many natives are often confused as well by their own language -apart from plenty of dialects. Between dutch and german we have many "false friends": (almost) similar words, different meanings. Plattdeutsch is easier :-)
