After the drive, stop in at Grandma's and get some bottled peaches. She won't mind.

While Hiking Taylor Creek we saw a little rattle snake snap up a lizard and then watched as it downed this thing that was bigger than it's own head. Luckily his mouth was full so he couldn't bite us as we interrupted his dinner.

Believe it or not, there's human beings down there hiking and rapelling. The slot canyon drops instantly from the road above just on the other side of the Zion Tunnel, and then it's an adventure of a lifetime to climb, swim, chill, swill, and thrill through this shady deep slot canyon to the grand opening of Zion Canyon. The last drop is probably 20 brazillion feet but we only had a 40 ft. rope and made it just fine, except my eyes were closed. Don't tell anyone, but I was so scared I almost peed my pants. This is a great one day rapell/hike with some nice pools to cool off in below. Plan to have your jewels flash frozen in some fetid skanky water in the canyon.

We caught these fairy falls just as the sun and light were disappearing and I could almost see goblins and magical night critters coming from the shadows. Before you die, go to Havasu Falls.

At Brian Head, Utah in late summer we went to a Mountain Man Rendesvous and caught this scene just as the sun was setting and a big bruising thundercloud was approaching. In 10 minutes we were pummelled by hail and drenching rain, then it was over before you could say, WTF!!Except I don't say F.

This waterfall is just below the Havasu Fall campground and is worth the hike to see. The scarey part is climbing down the chains and steps cut into the slippery rocks on the face of the cliff to the pools below, but worth every nauseating clutch. Just don't look down, say it over and over till all of a sudden, you're down, looking up at this fabulous waterfall and the lush garden all around you.

This is Taylor Creek in the Kolob Canyons of Zion National Park in Southern Utah. This hike is incredible and shady for most of the trail to the double arches. Don't miss the waterfall just a little beyond the end of the trail at at the double arch. When there's water it's a great place to cool off.
