Used to be St. Marylebone Grammar School. I went there between 1956 and 1962. I now live in Souther California. The best of the old buildings have been retained, happily, the ugly extension on Lisson Grove has been demolished. The library is a beautiful building and used to have a sloped seating area where 1st formers were introduced to the school and it's history. 1st formers were all in Houseman House, I went into Abbott House in my second year. Wonderful memories of a great institution that is no more, (Mr. Lewellyn Smith Headmaster, Mr. Crook - mean SOB! ass't head). The Labor government closed all grammar schools to give everyone the same chance.
