I am an explorer and I am a power user of Google Earth. I upload pictures as a small way to pay back the Interwebs for some of my use.

JF Hobbs's conversations

I have to disagree with the title of the photo.

The trees are Russian olive and the yellow grass in the mid-distance is cheatgrass. Both are invading species from Asia.

Where did it go? Who took it? What book, photograph, proof do you have that there was once a mummy in there? And, any truths to the tunnels under the city?

Sediment retaining ponds of Kit Quarry, formerly operated by FMC for a supply of silica to their Pocatello elemental phosphorus furnace.

Mr. Hobbs, Why the title "locals are not welcome" ?

The Locals call this Jimmy Drinks

Very Interesting View!

A nice photo! It is pity that we might eventually loose this historical powerhouse.

It is a basalt plain mostly covered by a layer of wind blown soil. The Yellowstone Supervolcano passed here and left behind it a giant trench 100 kilometers wide and as much as 1.5 kilometers deep that was filled with thousands of lava flows from flat shield volcanoes. I am lucky to have such a place to explore.

Thanks, Mr. Hobs! Greetings - dimitrov
