'Some say that the bodies of these gods (Osiris and Isis) do not rest in Memphis but on the borders of Ethiopia and Egypt, on an island in the Nile close to the city called Philae, which because of this took the name sacred field.' From Diodoros' of Sicily Library of History. Book 1:22 (3-4).

1192 views and no comment? I have been at the same place in 1996. Unfortunately I had no digital camera at this time, my photo is very bad. I like your foto and put it to my favourites YS. You write that it is a gate to a province, I thought it is a town gate.

Many greetings from Germany

Uhm... Yeah... Wrong location buddy!

However, Mike McAllister - it is still an active airport! Owned by Bombardier and used by DeHavilland (same company) to test fly the Dash 10 and GlobalAir series which is still manufactured right there at that airport!

This is not a kitchen... this is an ancient resturant or bar...or.... whatever. The romans loved to treat well themselves.
