The specific part appearing in the Image is eko-Viikki. It is one of the first new parts of Latokartano suburb. This particular area has been built using more ecological methods than usual (recycling of building material leftovers, etc.). So it´s a testing area for both technical solutions (some sun-energy and ventilation experiments) and also environmental testings (Helsinki University testing different solutions for planting trees along streets). Area also takes part for other projects like study of families learning to produce less domestic waste, etc.
