This area is one of Ottawa's few designated off-leash dog parks. I often take my dog there, as do a lot of other local residents, so if you go there for the view, be prepared to meet a lot of happy, friendly and playful canines and their owners. It's a wonderful place for them to socialise and have fun playing with others of their own kind. It's especially active on weekday afternoons and early evenings, and on weekends.
