Hi.. I am a Worcester native 85 yrs young now living in Phoenix, Az. I have a couple of questions. Firstly, where exactly is the railroad bridge?? And secondly where exactly are the Beacon aptmnts? I used to belong to the Worc. Boys club and would like to know where the aptmnts are in relation to the club. My E/mail add. is alafleur2@cox.net. Art.

a tid-git of info http://www.elwoodadamshardware.com/History.htm

ELWOOD ADAMS HARDWARE 156 Main St. Worcester, MA. 01608 (508)752-1919 In 1782 in the north end of Worcester Massachusetts stood a hardware store owned by Daniel Waldo. Goods such as saddles, oil lamps, shovels and hand tools were bought, sold and traded. Forty years or so later a gentleman named Henry Miller purchased the store from Daniel Waldo and in 1869 Miller's young apprentice Elwood Adams bought the store and changed it's name. The store continued in operation under ownership of Elwood Adams's son Robert Adams till 1947 .The store changed hands a few times until two young enthusiastic Frenchmen decided to take a go at running the business. Maurice Champagne and Nelson Cloutier kept the name Elwood Adams and opened in1958 to serve the Worcester Community. Today Elwood Adams is still owned and operated by the Cloutier family. Sons Paul, James and daughter Marie are committed to running the "Oldest Hardware Store in the USA". With many updates including state of the art billing and inventory control. Elwood Adams is serving area businesses, contractors, building maintenance, and city residence. With the reputation of having the "Hard to Find Items" Elwood Adams has truly one of the most experienced staff compiled in any retail operation. With one on one service it's not hard to see why for over 223 years elwood adams is alive and well in the new millennium.

A very exciting shot of this awesome military tank in action! Wow!

We actually went to an Air show near Atlanta yesterday, and I'm so pumped about the military Jets right now. What tremendous speed and power! They completely blew me away.

This is really cool. How were you able to witness such a demonstration?

I love the shot, and thanks for sharing.

Warmest regards from down South,

Mary Alice
