Stunning, Love this shot F&L.. Dave and Maggie
My brother and I explored the creek bed on several occasions from Boring up to about where the Salvation Army property begins. The only time when we felt that we may have been invading anyone's privacy was as we passed Mabel Johnson's house; but she always liked hearing of our journeys and seeing the pictures we took along the way. From her house downstream there was no evidence of any human development other than a path or two that would cross the creek and head toward the Cazadero Trail. From our vantage at the bed of Deep Creek it was just, well, a creek bed through the woods. We never saw any "Private Property" signs along the way, if we did, we would have respected them.
In the past, I have seen kayaks in Deep Creek; presumably making their way from Boring to somewhere down the Clackamas. I don't know if this would qualify it as being "navigable" and, therefore, publicly-owned according to the Oregon State law. Until I determine the truth in the matter, and out of respect for your privacy, I will at least temporarily change the title of this photo and move its location upstream to the Johnson's property which has now been aquired by Metro (public land). Please allow a month or so for the changes to take place in GoogleEarth as there is typically a long lag between GE and Panoramio where the photos are controlled.
Sorry for any issues the photo may have caused you.
When I was last up there the gate at the small 30' long bridge over a tiny creek was closed, I've heard that they added another gate just past road 2750 to allow access to FS land. Port Blakely will rent you access from .99 To $4.00 an acre!!!! Cheapest parcel I saw was 445 acres for $500.00

Used to love hiking and fishing around all the falls in that canyon. I would walk up from memaloose bridge on the main river. Not an easy trek.
I wish that I could travel to meet and take pictures with all of you too!
There were some big logging operations going on a couple of miles past this point in 2012 and some short new roads were made.
The road was rebuilt here fall of 2011 However there is now a large slide across the road at milepost 12 on FS 7409 that will not be repaired anytime soon due to Govt sequestration.
