on Google Maps
For Panoramio (and GoogleEarth), my idea has always been "what would it look like if someone were going there to visit"; and I've tried to do that with "photographs", but there certainly are "snapshots" in my gallery as well; but all with appropriate 'Titles'. I've also tried to keep my 'Tags' as succinct as possible, so other similar shots can be easily viewed. (And, of course the Tag "Not Selected for GoogleEarth" is always an option.) My 'Profile' shot is of riding on the platform between railcars on the White Pass & Yukon Railroad; I grew up in a railroad town and so trains have always held an allure; this ride was a superbly enjoyable time. Thanks for visiting and I hope you found interesting and enjoyable shots.

I've asked, but don't expect a positive response because there's not much else in the photo. On the other hand, this one was accepted, even though it seems to show no more "landscape" than the eagle shot. I've recently started paying attention to getting some significant scenery in the background of my wildlife shots just for this reason, but sometimes (like this one) it just isn't possible.

Thanks for the comment!

Hey Joni ... thanks for the nice comments and the Like, and especially for the Favorite ... and you get a "Gold-star" to link our galleries. Regards, Wally

Hey Joni ... thank you very much for the Favorite. This Vancouver shot was taken from an overlook partway up a mountain northwest of the city. The bridge and park are famous in the vicinity and a draw for tourists. Y'all have a great day, Wally

Hello jknaus ... I followed your link for "Neitonen" from a Pano Harrier-raptor photo; great folk music, all acoustic, right? And the photo slide-show is interesting too. The shot with the shed and lupines is a familiar view here in Maine USA ... and near the end of the rendition, the shots of the stellate streetlights curving across the bridge are great photos. Greetings from "Downeast" Maine (the northeast coast), Wally

hey Michael ... thanks very much for the Favorite ... and when you drive to Alaska, you'll have to load your car on a boat to get to Ketchikan ... Wally
