Knotts Lane must have been named after the family Knott that lived in St. Margarets for 200 years and were keepers at South Foreland Lighthouse for at least 5, possibly as many as 7, consecutive generations.

I was 9-10 when we move to steep i played in a school christmas nativity in the church,my first kiss was in that church grounds, there was a very old tree that has supports around it we used to hide in it ,when kids ,and i saw my first ghost there down whats commonly known as churchpath,fond memorys lovley church.
