John Norris's conversations

Among the many beaches along the coast of County Waterford, the most beautiful are the hidden coves between Annestown and Dungarvan, one such cove is Ballydwan. Its steep shore produces very strong and dangerous currents. There is no lifeguard, so never swim alone.

This is Gull Island, a wildlife sanctuary off the coast of Waterford, Ireland. Visible from Ballyvooney Cove. This is also where the 1252 ton Spanish steamer Cirilo Amoros sank in 1926. All crew members survived, thanks to the hospitality and cups of tea provided by the local people of Ballyvooney, the crew returned to Spain shortly afterwards. During a Spring tide, you can still view the remains of the Cirilo Amoros.
