Hello Jerrybare
I am not sure where the Glacier Hwy is so may be I was not there? One of the roads in Glacier NP was still closed (late June) and I was really looking forward to go there. Maybe I have to go to Canada again, beautiful place
Greetings from Australia

Hey Thanks Zeus! Greetings from California to you. I wish I could have captured so much more in that picture. The Hawaiian volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii has some very bizzare and interesting things to see.
This is another fissure that is aligned with Pu'u O'o in the background. Lava rose out of this bridged fissure in the foreground and filled the basin long enough to put significant lava casings around the trees in this area before receding back into the fissure. Fissure in the foreground with short lava tree stumps middle ground and Pu'u O'o in the background. Sometime after the molten lava receded an event from Pu'u O'o shower this area with cindered. The cinders were very sharp and glass-like.
This is a wonderful panorama of Kilauea Volcano crater taken from the deck of Volcano House. 14,000' Moana Loa volcano looms in the background on this beautiful day.
This picture was taken near the base of Pu'U O'o. The depression in the ground behind the tree mold was an earth fracture where the lava welled up and receded so rapidly a thin lava mold was left on the tree it enveloped. That is not bark it is frozen lava. This tree mold is about 10' tall. To get to this point it is about a 9 mile hike.

Your marker for this photo at the Thurston Lava tube is a few miles off the mark.
A vent near Mauana Ulu volcano that ejected pumice, cinders, and Pele's hair. The shades of reds, greens, and yellows in the vent were magnificent.
