I am a DSLR novice: it's been a steep learning curve, and my pics rarely meet my intentions and expectations. Still, I do try giving this very old and silly trompe-l'oeil game my very best shot. Thanks for the interest, but please do not assign Ls and/or YS/FAVs: they won't make these pics look better, and I am definitely not interested in quid pro quo glorification.

Thanks for adding this to the Caribbean group. Nice to know someone is still interested in this group. Hard to find this color water outside the Bahamas.

Nice Picture of your boat? We sailed in our catamaran "GratefulAttitudes" to Samana Cay in December of 2003 and navigated a very tricky reef to anchor behind the small island to the south. We then spent Christmas on the island with 5 Bahamaians from Acklins Island. They had been there for several weeks/months collecting cascarilla tree bark used in the making of the liquor Campari. They lived in small makeshift shacks and carried the bark by hand/head to the small "lake" in the middle of the island to soak. Then they would dry it, peel it off and store it in gunney type sacks so that they could take it back to Acklins for brokerage and shipment. We provided them with fresh water and played dominoes with them.We became friends and so they put on a Christmas day party for us. Wonderful! Sadly, a few days after we left they headed back in small boats and capsized going into Acklins. Two of them drowned! Our prayers have since been with them and their families. RIP Ethylyn? and Mitch Rolle.

Very nice view. Terrific photograph.

Friendly greetings.
