A very old cave temple dedicated to Veerabhadreshwara, a form of Lord Shiva. The Kallathigiri falls casacades from a height of 122 meters and at one point flows at the base of the temple. You have to walk across the flowing falls to reach the temple. The temple and the falls are 10 kms from Kemmanagundi. This picture was taken during a ritual festival honoring the Lord Shiva and Goddess Chowdeshwari on Tuesday 05-22-2007. No animal sacrifice is made at this temple, but animal sacrifice occurs at the goddess temple a few yards before the Shiva temple.
