Yeah, but I've gone fishing inshore and offshore my whole life so I know how to spot things like that. The few photos I've ever taken out there are too crappy to post on GoogleEarth though.

Passing the unmistakable Bald Island, bold on all sides with nary a beach to land on... we see Mercantile quite regularly passing thru the bay... "prettiest coaster on the bay" they say ... thanks for posting!

Crotch Island granite is know for the Rockefeller Bowl, the largest fountain bowl ever produced from stone. I often wonder as we sail by these why such beautiful blocks were discarded. And I love the granite driveways in Stonington ... no need to pave a driveway when it's made of a solid granite apron. Thanks for posting!

Always a good thing to avoid hitting as one comes up the Thorofare to Stonington, especially when sneaking between Andrew & Second in the fog! The cormorants seem to be ignoring you, admiring the view of Mark Island Light. Thanks for posting!

Красивая цветовая композиция. Нравится. Но, почему расположена в океане, в месте где на дне обнаружены очертания городских кварталов? С уважением, Владимир ( Украина)

It is a shame. I had thought the beached boat had been used to give some structure to the dock when it was built, you know, instead of piling rocks in the middle. It was just a matter of time (and marine life) for it to decay.
