I really don't know how many people would live in a village like that. I don't think it's seasonal, though, I think the people live there all year. I wish my pictures could do justice to the beauty of those valleys and hillsides.
Please excuse my weak Turkish. I believe you said you were from Mezraa, and did not recognize the location of the picture. It was taken in September, 1987. All I remember was that it was between Kars and Incesu, in the morning, looking west from the road.

I see you took many more around İşhan köy. I took that one and some others on a guided day trip from Erzurum. The year was 1987. I hope to travel to Turkey again soon.

I enjoyed travel in your country very much, the hospitality shown to my wife and myself wherever we traveled was wonderful. Although it has been a long time since we visited, I hope to be able to see the Turkish countryside again soon.
