Best days of my young life was at this school and Miss Gill was the best teacher there had some bad time though with bullying from boys and girl for being short with very blonde hair and you know who you are as i know every one of you.

The railway over the "Big Arch" was owned by the GWR from the southern limit of Abersychan & Talywain station (situated a short distance to the right of the photograph site) down to Pontypool. To the north of the station the line was indeed owned by the LNWR, all the way to its passenger terminus at Brynmawr.

both buildings in area are unsafe and should be demolished ,cornish engine house could be rebulit and serve a usefull purpose educating people but not in current area ,if left it will disappear and we will have lost our heritage ,as for opencast in area do we want another abervan disaster
