not bad for a ridge top camp area
★★PETER! Excellent photo of the nice place. Impressive! Is that camping car yours? YSL! You're always welcome to my humble gallery. Best regards from Yanghun Lee.★★
I can see my camping spot! :-)
Nice set up there, gotta hand it to Victoria. they sure do have a lot of neat camping spots...
The correct name for this park is "Willow Park". Locally it is just referred to as 'Tumbling Waters'.
We just wish it looked like it used to when this photo was taken, sadly it's looking awful now.
Can't imagine it will ever look nice again.
I love your photos! Yours is the definitive guide to campsites in Victoria. Keep up the good work.
Gidday Peter, We stayed a year at the Morwell Caravan Park in the '80's.
Mind you, it was not on this side of the coal pit, but on the northern side, and looking over the fence let you see into the mine!.
Today, that spot is part of the northern side of the mine...
Just part of our 18 years in Australia.
Cheers, Peter, Christchurch.
Polly McQuinn's Reserve is managed by Parks Victoria. It is a day-visit area only. It is not an ovenight campground, although there are those that do it. 'No Camping' signs previously erected have been vandalised and removed, as have bollards that tried to restrict vehicle access. Local landholders understand the Reserve's restrictions and ask visitors to do the same.
Toilet available. Water available but not drinking water.
...12-2011 we camped there for 2 nights, this was a GREAT spot, and an enjoyable walk. Well laid out area.
