It is in fact Bigbury on Sea beach at high tide with a view across the Avon estuary to Bantham beach.

Hi there My mother worked in Flete House as a cook after moving down from the Mildmays London home prior to the war.She met my father and married prior to the war and lived in Ford. My grandfather was the groom for Lord Mildmay during the first world war. My grandmother was the school teacher at Holbeton school. My parents moved to Australia 1950 the time lord Mildmay drowned at Mothecombe Beach. Hence the death duties and partial demolition of Flete House.
