Spent many a day on that flightline with VF-84! FEAR THE BONES!

Very nice shot, interesting.

CHeers from Russia

Glad this photo brought back memories.

I was stationed there back in 1982 - 1985, We were OMD (Operations Maintenance Department) We has 2 C-131 (Yes 131 not 130) Twin Eng Old gals we had 3 but number 49 was such a Hanger Queen we striped her down and sent her to the bone Yard. When I got there we had 3 UH-1Ns (that was what I was in) For Search and Rescue a year or so latter we got cut back to 2 UH-1Ns. I can remember the T-34s starting to take place of the T-28s before I left there for Jacksonville in 85.

They look like C-97's a modified B-29's. Road a C-97 for 23 hours to Europe with a refuel in the Azores. Nice old birds, one of its 4 engines often putting out smoke making it easy to spot and follow.

Channel Guard helo provided by HS-14 out of Atsugi

Fixed. Thank you.
