I drove by this today, at a high rate of speed, on my way back to VA. It was really surprising to see and I definitely did a double-take. The position on the map is off a bit, it is a little farther east, at the apex of the coming bend. The whole drive from 79 east to VA was really pretty, and I bet it is even better when the trees have leaves! I plan on driving this route again this summer just to see what there is to see.

Thank you WolfDreamer! This town has a Ramp Dinner each year where my family gathers. It's worth an adventurous day trip. (There was a Geocache hidden right next to my feet)

This tree was over 110 years old. It was toppled by a violent 3 minute storm.
