I have lived on Maui since 1971. I agree "Maui No Ka Oi"! (Maui is the best.) I was in Borneo in the Peace Corps in 1962-64. After raising children, I resumed international travel to South East Asia in 1995. In Nov 2008 I made my 21st trip--this time back to Davao, Philippines. In the summer of '09 I toured in the Philippines and China for 4 months! I spent Jan and Feb of '10 in Davao. I post my photos at http://www.randyhi.com/

This is Kalua'aha Congregational Church is the oldest church on Molokai. The church was established sometime after May 1832 by Reverend Harvey Rexford Hitchcock. The church is a "Kalawina" church meaning that is a Hawaiian Protestant church. Worship services are still held on the 4th Sunday at 12:30. For further information call 808-553-3823

Those names I stated government employees are called are a portion of the things I was called "face to face" by members of the public in every venue I worked in. There are more, of course, but these are the highlights. I know this is a long comment for suggesting you change an outdated title, but I've been hearing comments like yours for about 45 years now. I stand by every decision and every day I worked because I worked very hard, with thousands of hours of uncompensated overtime accrued, 3300 in my last ten years alone. I made some mistakes and made two decisions that cost the taxpayer some money, one of $5,000 when I routed a trail in the wrong location where the soil, in spite of its surface appearance, was unstable enough to preclude construction without long term accelerated erosion problems and the other when a load of worn out trash cans (no longer usable due to bear proofing requirements as well) went to a landfill instead of recycling because I was so busy with other brush fires (literally in some cases) that I said X when I should have said Y. I was reamed over the coals in each case by people in a nearby town, but who bats 1,000?
