His real glasses were found there and sold for $80,000.

I miss Tasty Freeze! There used to be a few in West Virginia, but I think they are all gone now. Certainly none where I live in SC.

About three miles south of Mineral on the east side of County Road AA is a giant burr oak tree. The Native Americans of this area used it as a meeting place. The tree received its name because it was a witness, or reference point, for surveyors of the Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific Railroad during the building of the railroad through Mineral Township.

Witness trees resulted from original public land surveys performed in the early 1800's to map the land for European settlement. The corners of every section and quarter section were marked either by a post in a mound of charcoal in the prairies or by blazes on witness trees in woodland areas.
