Mickey Mouse has his own star right next to Sharon Stone's star. I have not seen Minnie Mouse's star, but assume there is one?

This motel appears to have been closed for years and usually is gated closed. There appears to be the same car there all the time belonging to the caretakers of the building. I never see any work being done on the old motel, which seems strange. It makes me wonder what they are doing there? I suppose they just keep vandals and squatters away.

This Thai restaurant was closed in 2010 and the entire building is scheduled to be torn down. It used to be a hot dog stand, as you can see by the giant hot dog on the roof. It used to be called Red's Hot dog. This building is on the NW corner of Hollywood Blvd and Western Ave. The Metro Red Line station is on the opposite SE corner of the intersection.

It would be nice if there were some pictures posted here. The documentary said that the painting was so large that this building had to be made and designed specifically to house this painting.

Most of the streets in this area are lined with lots of these really tall palm trees that have been here since the 1920s and 1930s. The palm fronds frequently fall during high winds and do damage to residents cars if the trees are not trimmed frequently, which is no easy chore. They usually don't cause many dents, but the stems have very sharp barbs on them that really scratch paint.
