Another note about this: I lived in some townhouses here before they became gated. Gas was siphoned out of my girlfriend's car during broad daylight. Nothing worth stopping for here, just keep on driving...

Yeah, this is another one of many sections of M-town you wouldn't want to visit even in the daytime, on Christmas day, if it was -10 outside and you had secret service escorts. The true meaning of crunch-time.

Condo shmondo - it's been a vacant lot for a year, since the greedy developer decided to tear it down before securing any of the funds for something to replace it.
This is happening all over the place - wonderful buildings filled with character gone and replaced with nothing, whereas this could've had a mid-rise condo built behind or on top of it, striking a balance between our city's history and it's future needs.
