sacoo's conversations

Actually, Thule is a brand, not a Church. This is the place of business for Beaver Brook Outfitters.

As it says on their web site: The church of St. Charles Borromeo was erected in 1875 to provide a home church for the swelling ranks of French and Irish immigrants who had moved here to work in the tanneries, lumber camps, and mines. The building served in this capacity into the mid-1970s, when dwindling populations and increased costs made maintaining the building difficult; and as better roads and transportation made nearby larger churches a feasible alternative for the local parishioners.

Any idea what this is a monument to?

Landfill vents ....

What a Hell Hole!!

The building is the Original location of a store called "Zipperhead". The store sold Punk Rock clothing, T shirts, and accessories. The store was moved around the corner on to 4th street and renamed "Crash Bang Boom".

This house is called the Winter's Ranch.

i just love the way you have the deer jumping sign in this picture!

Portland City,full of Bridges.Very nice.

Any Idea what kind of mine this is?

I pass it twice a week and always wondered what they did there.
