Just to let you know this is not Zohan Lake, that was the movie playing at the time. This is Indian Lakes movie theater.
This is one of the two "Rainbow Tunnels". In the Summer of '66 when Flower Children were coming to San Francisco, a Cal DOT manager responsible for tunnel maintenance had a few buckets of paint of various colors left over from other jobs. He laudably joined in the spirit of the times and instructed his men to paint these rainbows over Highway 101. Even more incredibly, the rainbows have been maintained through thick and thin for over 40 years.
Wow! Does this place bring back so many good memories that will be with me for the rest of my life! I had so many good times here back in the late 60's into the early 70's with my family camping here, Nickerson Park, in Gilboa, New York. I only wish it was still there so I could bring my family there now? Great Picture! Durangosp

flash99, you sound/read like an idiot. No one cares where you are from. I'd be ashamed to admit I was from Berkeley anyway. I may be lesser of a person, somehow, for even reading or commenting on your post.
