Thank you, Micheal, Andrea, Anita, mvlphoto, Bedri, j warner, and Metin Tarhan. It was a wonderful, impressive place on a less than ideal day, and I'm glad you can feel some of its power.

Unfortunately people aren't connected so much anymore to their families as they used to be, that's the same everywhere. Un abrazo fuerte, May

Ian, thank you very much! It's exactly as you say. There are still hundreds of many 2 to 3 centuries old timber farmhouses in this region. They belong to the cultural heritage of the country and are often inhabited by the descendants of many generations of the same family. Often the store houses are even older, when for example the main house burnt down, see also the description of the store house. Today the houses are protected by a lightning rod system, see on the roof. Warm wishes, May

Anybody who is interested, have a look at the building complex from the back side and the description on the first comment.

Gerry, thanks a lot! The photo is from 2008, but it looked pretty much the same, when I uploaded it. Now we've got some fresh snow and it was -8°, when I went out for a short walk, in spite of my very bad cold, whith which I started 2010! - I hoped it would kill and freeze the virus. ;)

As for your tennis court, I don't think Roger would be very keen to play in Dublin, since he is in Dubai or Doha now and preparing for warm Autralia. Happy New Year to you as well! Warm regards, May

Paul, thank you for visiting! Best regards, May
