I was stationed here in October of 1953 as a radar mechanic. I was one of two radar mechanics that pulled maintenance on the M33 radars. There were 4 90 MM antiaircraft cannons on the pads about 50 yards north. To be close to the radars we lived in one of the ammunition bunkers, I think the second door from the right.
We were there to protect the countries from invasion during the Korean Conflict. Apparently we did well as we were not invaded.
