We are a husband and wife team that enjoy traveling and making DVD videos of our travels ... that is, when we are not on commercial assignments. Our favorite location is Italy where we have ancestral roots.
The Cathedral of Cefalu' as seen from the center of Piazza Duomo. Fine restaurants abound in this the Medieval District. A favorite is up and to the right at the end of a narrow passage.
Interior of the cathedral shows the "Christ Pantocrator" set in tile. The detail is so fine it almost looks like a fresco. Original tile work was done by Greek artisans.
This Medieval Wash House was renovated by the Arabs and Normans. It is speculated that it was orignally a Roman bath house. It is fed by a fresh water sprind that flows left to right and into the ocean. You can just see the sloped washing stones in the center right of the photo.
Fisherman's Harbor is a great place to sit in the sun and enjoy pannini, vino or caffe'. Our apartment was just up the street and this is usually where we had to park the car. After all, it is the Medieval District and the roads are "Donkey cart" wide.
The Piazza Duomo sits in the center of the Medieval District. We attended language shcool here for a week and fell in love with the District. In the evening we would dine or have caffe' and watch the populace.

The central altar area of the Cathedral is flanked by two smaller naves. The archetecture is a treasure for the eyes.
A view towards Fisherman's Harbor and the ocean side of the Medieval District.
