Oompie
I live in Langebaan on the beautiful West Coast of South Africa. Being on pension now I can, within a restricted budget, live out my dream of seeing places. I am not a great photographer (like some of the amazing photos I see on Panoramio) but like to share the little I have seen of my country and those surrounding me.
My modus operandi for planning a tour or trip is to go all along the route I intend taking and looking at photos in Google earth, noting the co-ordinates, and then visiting the places.

You have been in Pergamonmuseum GyurIca! Great! I always wanted to go there but for some reason it didn't happen yet.
I was in ancient Pergamon but not much, almost nothing, remained there, the Turks are still furious because the Germans plundered the site.
Isn't it also in Pergamon museum that the famous Ishtar gate is exposed? Or at least a part of Ishtar gate because there's also a piece of it in Archaeological Museum of Istanbul.
You're so right, history is full of surprises and it is a captivating never ending story.
Best wishes, Florentine

It still is, all the responsibles deny guilt, some even claim it never happened. A bloody shame!

We stayed 15 - 20 minutes at the spot and saw them busy making little lions, during this short "peeping" time they did it 3 times. Each time he came close to her, smelled first, went on to the act, the action itself only lasted a few seconds, then she roared and snapped at him, he went a few yards further away to lie down, she rolled onto her back and a few minutes later the spectacle recommenced. Great show :-)
Thanks for Like GuyrIca!
