Greetings from Hungary!
My parents were married in this church in 1963.
Yes - please use it. It was the bank my dad's family used.
Nice shot, great illumination. Great to see the reddish marble walls I remember so well, staring at during the priests sermon....not that is was boring, but sometimes you need to focus your eyes on something, and they matched those marble slabs so well the patterns were awesome. The niches as well - awesome. Thanks so much for your skill and sharing.
It's my home church also. My Dad was the pastor at Albion and Loretto from 1959 to 1968. My folks are buried in Albion, and both their funerals were in this building.
Look at the old Outhouse! I wonder if it's still the main "toilet" for the church? I doubt it. But for many folks that are up in age like me (60) and older....we remember these quite well. My aunt and uncle in this same county (Boone, Co. Nebraska) farmed southwest of Albion, and had outhouses as their only means of a toilet until the mid 1960's. Personally, I didn't mind them. If they were dug deep enough they didn't have any smell, and were actually somewhat relaxing in the spring and summer and fall. Winters....ughhhh. And if you had a dislike of daddy-longleg spiders, well, you were..shit outta luck!
