"R" Hill. Students put this there and upkeep it. In the 1950's after Christmas people would bring their Christmas trees up here and have a big bonfire. How fun. You could see it from all over town. This is on the south side of Rawlins
That is Elk Mountain with the snow on it to the east. That mountain was perfectly framed in the center of our kitchen window for the 15 years we lived there.

1930 this building was sold to First Lutheran. Details are in a book Nebraska Conference History by Charles Frederick Sandahl, pp. 229-236
