The silo, a well known landmark at Vimy Ridge Farm, was demolished early 2016. Planning application had been submitted to Rushcliffe Borough Council for its demolition and was approved in 2015.
This £350,000 sculpture called “Tree stories” was designed by Denis O'Connor and was erected in January 2008 at the entrance to Hanley Forest Park. It has symbols of the city hanging from the branches. Colour-changing lighting poles surround the tree.
This is a reconstruction in miniature of the US Supreme Court before the last major alterations. It is on display in the basement of the Court Building.
