St.Teilo's Church was moved to St.Fagans - National History Museum of Wales, from Pontarddulais, Carmarthenshire. The Archbishop of Canterbury re-dedicated this church in October 2007 following completion of the re-build. To see interior (which is not marked on Google Earth), click "Prev" above.

Dyffryn House stands in a sheltered valley in the Vale of Glamorgan - just to the west of Cardiff.

Just outside the City of Cardiff in the Vale of Glamorgan. These herbaceous borders reach their peak in July.

Tetbury is not the as peaceful as it may appear in this photograph as five roads converge on the town. The streets are often clogged with traffic (including juggernauts) making for a very unpleasant fume filled environment. Surely the people of Tetbury should have arranged protests to get a by-pass built. Perhaps local landowners are trying to prevent this or the government is refusing to provide the funding?

This photograph was taken about a 40 minute drive north of Cardiff.

Not within the city limits of Cardiff but just a short (19 minute) train ride north. This is one of the UK's great medieval castles. It's a pity that most visitors to Cardiff don't seem to know about it!

The interior of this church has been painted as it would probably have looked in 1520.

If visiting Cardiff, please note that three other castles are within a few miles of this castle. For St.Fagans Castle & The National History Museum of Wales - leave Cardiff Castle - turn right and walk down street for 5 minutes to bus stop outside Holiday Inn. Use service 32 or 320 for the 20 minute journey. For Caerphilly Castle, turn left on leaving Cardiff Castle - walk along Queen Street for 14 minutes to Queen Street station. Trains to Caerphilly are at 15 minutes intervals (except Sundays when less) and the journey takes 15 minutes. To see photos of these other castles plus Castell Coch - click the Cardiff tag.
