They are one of the most iconic images of Melbourne,and as a kid i spent so many days at brighton escaping the heat in the late 50's/early 60's and they were there.I dug the sand under them and climbed under them,to keep out of the sun and swam in the clear cool sea on days and nights when air conditioning wasn't easily avalable and the best way to keep cool was the sea.I love that time and it's just memories,as i'm now in cornwall,uk and it seems like a life time away. One day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! perhaps,I do it again...........I hope.
