I was born and raised in northwest Alabama, USA. I love to photograph old buildings, old bridges, old churches, and some modern architecture, too. I like to go to areas that don't have photos posted and try to capture something worthy of posting. There are many rural areas that are underrepresented in Google Earth, so I try to post pictures for them. I've also recently been posting photos from big cities of well known structures, too. I love looking at other people's photos from all around the world. I hope you enjoy mine, too.

What a wonderful Victorian mansion. like 1 I would like to invite you to the group "Belle Époque". It consists of Art, architecture, fashion, style, history, and anything related to the Turn of the 19th to 20th century(roughly between 1870-1919),Examples are: anything Victorian, Art Nouveau, Beaux-Arts, Gilded Age, Second Empire architecture, Edwardian eras , or retro styles of these, etc.....I think that you would be a wounderful addition to the group. Kind Regards from ...JeO112

I have been searching for years, and reading old newspapers from the 1800's to try and find the date that this monument was placed in Newton. So far I have not found that piece of information.

These are not the remains of a bridge. These are the remains of an old grist mill and dam that was on the river. The bridge in question is upstream of the new bridge now in use.
