I'm an amateur photographer who on the odd occasion is at the right place at the right time. I have been taking pictures since I was about eight years old using a hand-me-down 110 Instamatic. I've also had a Pentax Zoom 90-WR, Kodak Z740, and now a Kodak Z990 digital camera. I enjoy taking pictures of flowers (especially wildflowers), lighthouses, waterfalls, architecture, and other things I find interesting, which is just about everything. My profile picture is a self-portrait taken outside Voodoo Doughnuts in downtown Portland Oregon, July 2013.

Very beautiful photo!

Greetings, Blagoj

Wow, what a stunning photo, Suzi! L&F!

I tried to look up its history and as best as I could determine is that it probably dates back to the 1930's. So not quite a 100 years. . .

I think it was completely different, bright orange maybe. It's been a long time.

Yes it does. It was hard to get a good shot of this bridge that didn't involve pavement, guard rails, power lines, and vehicles driving by in the background.

That is what I was thinking. Covered bridges do look a bit like barns.

Thank you very much, Ognjen!

Fraud or not, Opal Whitely was apparently a very interesting woman.

Interesting. They built the dam, and extended or raised the covered bridge.
