I'm an amateur photographer who on the odd occasion is at the right place at the right time. I have been taking pictures since I was about eight years old using a hand-me-down 110 Instamatic. I've also had a Pentax Zoom 90-WR, Kodak Z740, and now a Kodak Z990 digital camera. I enjoy taking pictures of flowers (especially wildflowers), lighthouses, waterfalls, architecture, and other things I find interesting, which is just about everything. My profile picture is a self-portrait taken outside Voodoo Doughnuts in downtown Portland Oregon, July 2013.

I love carousels. Too bad I can't make it to Coos Bay before January 26th! Those fantasy panels are awesome.

Thank you, Fabio. I'm glad the men happened to pass by, I would never have guessed the original purpose of this building!

Lovely, Pamela - filters are fun, aren't they? Great work! (O:

I love this, Pamela - nice shot of beautiful detail (O:

Hahaha...I doubt it. This was part of a very seedy neighborhood - which of course I found fascinating. ; )

Just a super macro lens, nothing special! ;)

Vicser, you should be in Eastern Oregon during a summer rainstorm. The smell of the rain mixed with juniper and sagebrush must be what heaven smells like!

Thanks for deciphering the 'hosiery' part Ronald. Your eyes must be better than mine. Yes, I believe the Utopian socks are long gone!

I recall the sunbeams that gently fall on my face

it was a good day, long ago
